Scootboot wins new category at Tasmanian Export Awards
Scootboot has won the inaugural Creative Lifestyle and Design Award at the Tasmanian Export Awards in Launceston making it the 8th year in a row being recognised for its global export achievements.
Launched in 2015, Tasmanian company Scootboot has grown to become a world leader in hoof boots for horses now supplying customers across 110 countries.
This latest award announced at the gala ceremony in Launceston celebrates Scootboot’s export growth as well as the integrity and design of its hoof boot products used by horse riders from all riding disciplines and horses in rehabilitation all over the world.
Scootboot has historically won the E-Commerce Exporter Award, but this year the category was replaced with the Creative Lifestyle and Design Award placing Scootboot in contention with a different set of industries.
Scootboot Co-Founder and Brand Ambassador Annette Kaitinis said the award win was for all of the Scootboot team who worked hard each day to help horses worldwide to go barefoot with Scootboots.
“Our products are best-in-class with heavily patented designs - invented in Tasmania, manufactured in Jakarta and sent to more than 110 countries,” Co-Founder Annette Kaitinis said.
“We have year-on-year growth as we enter new markets and expand into new partnerships with large online retailers in the USA and across Europe.
“The award is a wonderful recognition for the team who put the welfare and wellbeing of horses at the centre of our business.”
Scootboot CEO Cheryl Gray thanked Trade Tasmania for the recognition and congratulated all finalists and winners for showcasing the innovation and strength of the Tasmanian business community.
The award win comes after the successful launch of two new products - the ScootBoot TheraRide which is a therapy boot and the MultiPurpose Gaiter, a protective accessory which also provides additional security. Since launching the MultipPurpose Gaiter has become Scootboot’s most popular accessory.
The Gaiters are now the best selling product after the Classic hoof boots and the TheraRides have become an established solution with vets and farriers treating horses during rehabilitation and transitioning.
The award announcement sees Scootboot as a finalist in the 64th Australian Export Awards being announced in Canberra in November.
