Scoot Boot Awarded Australian E-Commerce Exporter Of The Year
Innovative Tasmanian company Scoot Boots, which produces flexible, lightweight removable hoof boots for horses, has galloped to the fore as Australia’s e-Commerce Exporter of the Year.
The award was announced at the prestigious 2023 Australian Export Awards at Parliament House in Canberra last night. The win follows the company’s repeated success at the Tasmanian Export Awards.
From small beginnings in 2015 in a backyard shed outside of Hobart, Scoot Boots now exports its modern alternatives to traditional metal horseshoes to more than 90 countries.
CEO and Co-Founder Annette Kaitinis said she was thrilled to receive national recognition.
‘What makes me most proud is being able to provide horses across the globe, who have had a lifetime of wearing iron, the possibility of going bare and using Scoot Boots,’ said Ms Kaitinis.
She said recognition as a national winner validates the company's success in expanding its reach to global markets, and believed the Australian Export Awards encouraged innovation and excellence within industries.
‘Participating in the Australian Export Awards allows us to connect with other industry leaders, government officials and potential partners,’ she said. ‘These connections are valuable because they can open doors to new opportunities and collaborations.’
Now in its 61st year, the Australian Export Awards are the nation’s longest running business awards programs. The awards celebrate the achievements of extraordinary Australian exporters, and the far‑reaching impact they have on the nation’s economy.
Since their establishment in 1963, they have recognised more than 2000 Australian exporters that achieved international success in diverse sectors, through their commitment, innovation and leadership.
This program is presented by the Australian Trade & Investment Commission (Austrade) in partnership with State and Territory awards programs. It is made possible through the support of Australia's leading corporations, export facilitators and industry groups, and other Australian Government departments.
